Write Your Thoughts Down in a Blog and Earn Money.

I've been trying to get my sister to blog since she's very pregnant and in the process of deciding whether to go back to work or whether to stay home with what will be "two" children. Her son just started elementary school, so she will be able to bond with her newborn while her son is at school. She will also have a little bit of time on her hands, not much, especially with a newborn, but some. I want her to blog so that she can make a little bit of money while staying at home. I've been able to do that, so I know anyone can.

I never thought that putting pen to paper would earn me a living, but now that I've started blogging, I see myself as a freelance writer of some sort. I'm actually getting paid for writing. It's something I've always loved to do. I've got umpteen journals from back when I was a teenager to now, so blogging just came naturally to me. My sister feels that you need to be creative to blog. I say, "NO!" not really anyway. Just write what comes to mind, right? Do you blog and earn a little money while having fun jotting down the little crazy things that have happened to you throughout the day or week? If not, then you should be. You can earn an easy $200 blogging a month, if not more. It really depends on you and the companies you work for. One of my favorite companies is PayU2Blog.com. Check them out.

Getting Freebies is Easy!

Searching for freebies is fun, easy and lucrative. I guess I shouldn't say lucrative in the sense that you can find free money, but you can get a lot of free samples or products that you probably wouldn't buy unless you experienced what having them can do for you. For example, deodorant is one of those products that you have to actually go to the store and smell before you buy it. What if you don't like that "musk" smell or that "powdery" smell and you buy it just to find out that it's just not right for your body type. Well, then you either have to make a decision to use it or throw it out, or maybe even to give it away. Now you don't have to do that. You can ask the company for a sample and more than likely you'll get one in the mail. It's that simple, especially with big companies. In fact, my mother wants me to buy this perfume for her that I would like her to try out first. It's not a perfume you can get at your local stores, so I've decided to ask for a sample. We'll see how it goes, but I'm almost sure it won't be a problem.

Now, I'm not saying you can go around asking for someone to send you cbu mailboxes so you can stick them in the ground and try them at home before you decide to actually buy one. On the other hand, that actually might work too. Who knows? There are a lot of things you can do as a consumer that you couldn't do just ten to twenty years ago. Why, because of the "Online" age. That's what I call it, anyway. Just ask for a sample and see what happens. The worst that could happen is the company says, "no," right? :-)

So, Have You Thought About Selling Online?

So, have you thought about opening an online store and selling something? Maybe you live in Arizona and want to sell Arizona real estate, remember selling online doesn't necessarily mean you have to restrict yourself to tiny objects. If you have been a surfer for as long as I have, you know that people sell homes, boats, doctor's services, medicine, everything. It's no longer a new phenomenon, or the wave of the future. It's happening now.

However, it's still in the "New" stage, so you can jump on this bandwagon and get a piece of the pie. In the computer age, new things get old fast, but for selling online, this is only just the beginning. Are you up to the challenge? Don't think that all you can do online is surf or even complete surveys or even blog for cash. Those are only a few of the many ways you can earn money online. This is the best time of year to get started too. The holiday season approaches and that means more people online than at any other time throughout the year. Go get'em!

Selling Online

Have you ever considered opening up a business and selling online? I have and followed through on my thoughts by actually creating a business from scratch. I literally had no idea what I wanted to sell when I started, even thinking of selling toilet paper holders (my husband's idea), but we finally settled on the toy industry. The road was bumpy at first, as is normal of most endeavors where you are inexperienced and unsure of what to do and what to expect.

However, the road has gotten a bit smoother and now I'm in my second year of business. I can't believe I can say that, but it is true. It's a beautiful thing. My husband and I decided to do business with drop shippers so that we wouldn't have to hold an inventory. For us, that decision was perfect since we don't have any space to hold inventory and the items that we sell are rather large, at least most of them are. You may not be into selling things. Maybe you are a Realtor in Tampa and want to sell Tampa real estate. You can do that. Anything is possible online. I learned that over the past year and have come to believe that. You can sell real estate, services, anything. I'm doing it and you can too.

So, what's the bottom line? I only urge you to think about what you would sell online. I ask you to find out what selling online can do for you. You will be amazed.

Wearing French Lingerie

Would you call wearing French lingerie a touch of class to your inner self image? If so, have I got something for you. This is not a freebie and it's not a survey, but it's something I thought to share with the girls. If you haven't heard of chantelle bras and you like anything French, then you should hear about these bras!

Some of their more outstanding qualities is that they are made of exceptional quality materials; they are made to fit comfortably and Chantelle maintains the highest European standards in the manufacturing of them. Chantelle describes these bras as "an investment in quality, tradition, comfort and style." Doesn't that sound delicious? Now if only she could add some chocolate to that I'd be right at home.

If you want to look at the entire Chantelle Lingerie collection, it is available at BitsofLace.com. See you there. :-)

Survey Spot Review

Survey Spot is the last survey company on my list of favorites, but it is by no means the least favorite. I have been receiving a number of survey invitations lately from this company offering upwards of $7.50 for a survey with a completion time of 45 minutes. If you are a member of Survey Spot, have you been noticing that their offers per survey are getting more generous?

I remember when I first joined, they hardly sent me an offer where I would be compensated. However, now I get them all the time. So, have you noticed that? By the way, I do not believe they have an affiliate network and, in fact, that link on my sidebar is not an affiliate link. If you are looking to complete surveys for cash, I'd join Survey Spot!

What is Your Purpose in Life?

How many times have you asked yourself why you are here on this earth? Have you ever come up with an answer that you are satisfied with? Are you comfortable enough in your skin to acknowledge whether you are "being" your purpose?

I was given the privilege of reviewing a three set audio cd series on balancing life by Clay Nelson, a life coach, workshop leader and motivational speaker. This series is called the "Getting Started Series" and it's the first of a three-volume group of audio cd sets. I have always been skeptical about life coaches because I feel that they are mostly speaking from an imperfect platform and from imperfect experiences. In my mind, I have thought, what can they teach me that I can't learn from family and friends or from my own experiences? I have been a fan of self-help books in the past, but awhile back, I felt that I had my fill of them and considered that part of my life a stage that I went through and finished with.

However, listening to the first audio cd of the set, "Creating Your Purpose… The Key to Unlocking Your Greatest Potential," I was reminded about the importance of keeping your purpose in life constantly in front of you and also that self-help is a continual process. Recognizing this helped to open my mind to what Mr. Nelson had to say. It was interesting to hear Mr. Nelson explain that once your purpose has been accomplished, it disappears. It was also interesting when he made the suggestion that you find a purpose in life that is so big that it can never be accomplished. Your purpose in life should be something that supercedes all experiences good or bad, big or small, from birth to death. It should be something that should jump start you when you've lost your sense of self, your focus. Your purpose statement should be what unlocks your potential, what continues to help you grow and not tire out.

Do you have a purpose statement like that? After listening to this first cd in the "Getting Started" set, I am looking forward to the other two topics, "How to Let Fear Serve You… How to Not Be Stopped by Fear" and "Commitment … Getting Past 'Why Do I Have to Grow?'”

Are you interested in learning more? Read about Clay Nelson's CDs here: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/11/prweb473749.htm

I Have to Share!

I'm not sure if I've shared this with you yet, but I was a victim of Hurricane Wilma. My home was damaged and I have been living with brown water stains on my ceiling for the last two years. What is more, I had to wait and wait and wait to repair the damage, because there was just no money to pay for what I needed to have done. Well, I just received an insurance check that is going to take care of my brown spots. Hallelujah!

I may even have a little left over to get some new ceiling fans and possibly some lighting too. Life is good! Although I'm not looking forward to the dust that repairing my ceilings is going to generate, I am looking forward to raising my eyes to white ceilings with no spots and not dirt and no grime and just nice and fresh and new!

What Kind of Freebies have Your Received?

What kind of freebies have you received? Do you benefit from "freebie" forums and blogs like this one? I've received so many freebies over the past year since I found out how other people get them in their mailbox. It's like getting unexpected gifts all of the time. I've received deodorants, food, feminine napkins, cds, gloves, and I could go on and on. I'd like to receive RC cars one of these days, but I probably won't unless perhaps I get a return on one of my sales. I have a supplier that doesn't like to spend the money having an RC Car shipped back to them, because of the cost. They just as well figure it's better to take the loss. In that case, I could have the customer send it to me. I haven't thought to do that, but it's a thought.

Anyway, back to the question, what kind of freebies have you received from lurking in freebie forums and surfing the web?

Talking About Real Estate

This post is not about surveys. It seems that many of my posts these days are not about surveys. I will get back to that, but haven't been in the mood to complete any lately, not for lack of invitations, I assure you. I just don't have it in me. I'm finding that I feel that way about much of what I do online. Do you get that way sometimes. I'm sure I'll snap out of it eventually, but for now, .....

I have to share this wonderful thing that happened to me today. After almost two years, waiting for an insurance check to finally come, it is here! My home was damaged when Hurricane Wilma came through, not to mention much of the real estate around me. The area has slowly been coming around. I know some of my neighbors didn't wait for their insurance checks to come through, but I couldn't afford to fix my property before the money was there.

So, that's what's going on in my neck of the woods. A tropical storm is on the horizon, so I don't want to fix the home issues until this storm passes through. I hope it doesn't come anywhere near my way. What have you been up to?

Looking For Reasonable Home Prices

I recently came back from vacation and had some enlightening conversations with family members who recently moved from New York. It is interesting what you will learn even when you do not expect to. I found out that a home in Orlando, Florida can still be purchased for under $150,000. Mind you, that is for a condo, but the condo I saw had three decent size bedrooms and two full baths.

This is of interest to me because, I just moved to Florida two years ago. I can a little too late because at that time, the prices had sky rocketed and what I hoped to find price wise was horribly nowhere to be found.

I also learned that a family member moved to North Carolina recently. I heard that she purchased a home for less than $300,000 and it was like living in a mansion. Now, I don't know how true that is since I haven't been to her home, but apparently, it's bigger than the newly built Deltona, Florida homes that I visited and those were beautiful.

So, if you're thinking of staying on the East Coast, but would like to move out of your State in search of more reasonably priced homes, check out North Carolina or even Deltona, Florida. By the way, although this has nothing to do with real estate, since I'm thinking about real estate lawyers, if you happen to need a PI Lawyer while you're in North Carolina, check out this Raleigh personal injury lawyer.

Making Money Blogging

So, have you started blogging for PayU2Blog yet? If not, then you should be. My sister is pregnant for her second baby and is thinking about working from home. I told her that one of the first things she should do is start a blog. Making money blogging is one of the least difficult ways to earn some money while working online. The time you spend and the amount of money you earn are dependent on how often you wish to blog. It's up to you. It's flexible, easy and fun. You don't have to be a superb writer. You just need to have a good handle on grammatical rules and the English language. I imagine there are paid to blog platforms in other languages, but since I write in English, I figure you must be reading in English.

One company I work with is PayU2Blog. They are super easy to please and leave you to blog the way you want as long as you put the phrase assigned to you within a 60 word post. You could be assigned a phrase like home theater seating or "cell phones" or even "toilet paper rolls." Just take the phrase and put it into a 60 word paragraph. That's it!

Investing in Your Future

Investing in your future is something you have to think about, especially if you have children. I was just talking to my sister about making a Will. My husband and I have one all prepared and ready to sign, but we just haven't signed it. Anyway, it will be done eventually.

Now about investing, it is difficult as a novice to know what kind of stocks to invest in and even putting your money in a cd or money market account can sometimes be tricky, but have you ever thought of gold investing? Monex.com says that investing in precious metals is one of the most secure means of investing you can perform in this day and age. They say, "Buying gold has been recognized for centuries as one of the best ways to preserve one’s wealth and purchasing power. Gold bullion is a unique investment."

If you haven't thought of investing in precious metals, ask your investment broker or financial adviser about it. If you don't have an investment broker or financial adviser, then read up on the benefits of investing in precious metals. You may find yourself pleasantly surprised.

Advertising on Blogs.

I mentioned in my last blog post that I do some blog advertising as a means of adding to my multiple income sources. That's right. Apart from completing surveys, you can blog and earn cash. On occasion, I earn $10 for a post, sometimes more, sometimes less. Mostly I earn $5 a post, but compared to completing surveys that compensate you in much smaller amounts while taking much more time, blogging for cash is definitely a welcome alternative. I have earned upwards of $30 just for posting a link within a few paragraphs in a blog. Is it worth it to you to learn more about this? I would think so.

One of the companies I suggest you check out right away is PayU2Blog.com. Be sure you already have an established blog before you attempt to join. You can go to Blogger.com and start one for free today. Talk about anything you like. Blogging is like journaling. Do you find you are not the "writer" type. Don't worry. If you can have a conversation, you can blog. Many times, I pretend I'm talking to a one person audience. So, what are you waiting for?

Independent Contractor Work and Keeping the Books.

I've been thinking about what to do to get my books in order. As a blogger I have contracted my services out to a number of advertisers and have been compensated on a regular basis for work. Last year I use to do a lot of transcription work and also did some data entry work. All in all, I earned a few thousand dollars.

I ended up getting Quickbooks to keep my finances in order, but found that Excel worked just as well. I didn't have anything complicated to compute and wasn't in need of any type of payroll software, so both Quickbooks and Excel were my methods of choice. If you are looking for software to assist you in keeping your books in order, try Excel first. It's super easy to use once you get use to it. Quickbooks is a little more complicated, in my opinion.
