I would love to go to Maine!

If there is one thing I love to do is to fantasize about vacations. I love to travel. Do I do it often? No, not often enough, but I do love to imagine where I'd go if I had the money and the time.

Recently the idea of going to Maine popped into my head. Have you ever been to Maine? It seems like a nice place to visit at least once. On that note, I just visited a website that shares info on a place to stay while in Maine. It's the Maine bed and breakfast Directory. Are you planning a trip to Maine this summer? If you are looking for a place to stay, this directory has a whole host of options for you to entertain.

Although summer has just arrived, fall is around the corner and I hear the fall foliage is beautiful in Maine. You can also hike, bike, canoe, kayak, visit antique stores. Sounds delicious to me. I can't wait to take my next vacation. where would you go if you have the money and the time?

Pinecone Has Done it Again

I got another one yesterday! Wow! That's four payments this month. I think I hit the lottery with Pinecone in June. The month is almost over. What have you been doing in the survey industry? Have you been successful. Do you make at least $50 a month completing surveys yet? If not, take a look at my sidebar. There are at least 16 companies that pay me to complete surveys. The only reason Pinecone is not on that list is because they don't have a way of signing up. They simply invite you or you have to find their sign up banner. I recommend you look for it by visiting forums. It's around, it's just evasive.

MarketView Research

Have any of you heard of MarketView Research? This is a company that I believe I joined some time ago, but haven't completed any of their surveys. Here's what you are promised for completing one of their surveys, or at least this is what I've been promised:

Making Money with Surveys

Pinecone Research has a way of forgetting you and then all of a sudden giving you more work than you expected. That's what happened to me last month. I have never received more than one assignment a month for almost a year now. However, last month, I received two assignments. One of the two assignments had three parts to it, so I received not only the initial $5, but $10 more on top of that. It was so cool. As you know, I haven't been blogging for cash much this month, so that extra money came in handy. Thank you Pinecone!

How do you get out of Debt?

I have been completing surveys, getting free stuff and setting up a home business now for just over a year. However, the fact of the matter is that life has a way of continuing even though you want to pause it to catch up. For example, do you have student loans that you need to pay off? It seems the only way to catch up is to get some type of school loan consolidation.

Do you have credit cards that have balances that never seem to decrease and, in fact, through no fault of your own, have a way of increasing due to high interest rates? It has become almost impossible to save! Here is my plan and I think it is a good one. I have experienced the concept and the wisdom of paying off high balanced/high interest loans first. Instead of spreading out your money over all of your cards all at once, pay off the higher balances while maintaining the minimum payments due on the others.

You will find that your interest is not so much over time and that your balance actually decreases. Now, the bottom line is to stop incurring more debt. Think you can do that? That's my plan. Let's see if it works .... again. :-)

On Hiatus, But Back in the Game.

I've been on hiatus, it would seem. I haven't posted a blog for almost two weeks and I'm sorry about that. I've had to deal with some family health issues and, although my family member is not in Drug rehab or anything, he is definitely going through some medical changes.

It's a bit of a hardship on the family as a whole and I've been quite worried that things would not improve, but they're looking up now. Hopefully, over the next month or so I won't have this sick feeling in the bottom of my stomach that something dreadful will happen.

Hawaii is My Dream Destination.

Taking time out to dream I came across a great blog about Hawaii and specifically, Maui Condos. Hawaii is a destination I know I will visit one day. Isn't this a beautiful place to visit? Imagine owning a Kihei Maui Condo and going there to visit whenever you please. In fact, one of the best and most beautiful things about Hawaii is the fact that it's tourism industry is working hard to be environmentally friendly.

One press release I read said that being environmentally friendly is "in the best interest of big business" since protecting the environment is the key to keeping visitors coming back. I know one of the biggest attractions of Hawaii is their beaches. I live in South Florida, so beaches are no wonder. However, the beauty of fresh blue ocean, sea food and flowers galore is all it takes to keep me coming back.

Writing Ads on Your Blog

I'm a little burned out again. I completed a few surveys this week and made a few extra dollars. I've done some work for Pinecone Research, MARS Research, Survey Savvy and Livewire. Now I think I'll try to relax for a while. I've also been busy working on my websites and have been entering new products on two of the three sites. I have one company with new products waiting in the wings. I think I've just got way too much on my plate. What have you been doing to make money online lately?

Have you started a blog yet? This is a sure way to earn a small living online. In fact, it is at least 1/3rd of what I earn in any given month. After your blog has been active for a few months, you can apply to several "get paid to blog" companies to start getting paid. You will be assigned ads that you will be asked to post about on your blog. You can either accept these assignments or not depending on the company you work with and your own wishes. For example, you may be asked to write about ionamin. You many not even know what this is. It will be up to you to find out and write about it.

This type of work is interesting and eye opening. It is also a way to get to learn what really is offered on the web. You might come across services or products that you never thought to use, but simply by working an ad into your blog, you too become a buyer of that product or service. At any rate, remember, completing surveys isn't the only way to make money online.

Allure is a Bust --- For Me!

Have you been having any success with the Allure free give aways? I sure haven't. I've tried over and over again to be on the site at the exact time that they say the contest form will be available, but every time I think I'm going to get through, by the time I do, the give aways are already gone.

Student of Online School Honored.

The other day, I mentioned that you could get or complete your college degree program online at a school called Capella University. Well, there is a reason why I found this information to be beneficial to you. Persons attending these online schools are getting the best education although all classes are online.

One example of this is a master's degree student named Tammy Alexander. She has been honored and awarded the 2006 FBI Director's Community Leadership Award. According to a web release I read, she is the director for information assurance and cybersecurity training at a college in Knoxville, Tennessee called Fountainhead College of Technology.

This is a huge honor for Alexander. It brings home the fact that online schooling is just as good as going to a college campus.

I was listening to a statistical report on the radio yesterday and heard that over 60% of fathers said that they didn't like the gift they were given for Father's Day. That's interesting, but even more interesting was that over 80% of the gift givers said that their father loved the gift they gave. What a disparity, right?

Lightspeed Research Panel

How do you feel about Lightspeed Research Panel? I have them on my favorites list, but I'm considering taking them off. I can't say they are horrible or anything. It's just that they haven't offered me good earnings for a little while now. It's becoming increasingly hard to make money worth my time.

They do pay and have paid me several times in the past, but lately, they are sending me surveys and offering me 50-75 points for 20 -30 minute surveys. In order to make a decent cash out amount, you have to earn at least 1000 points. In fact, I think it has been raised to 1150 for $10. It will take me forever to earn $10 with those low point offerings. I used to get surveys that offered 300-500 points and then a few that offered 150 points. Of course, that's when it was worth it for me.

It could be that I am not completing as many surveys as I used to and therefore, they are being a little stingy with their points. What say you. I can't wait to hear your responses. I reaffirm that they are a good company to do surveys for and that they do pay, but .....

Appreciative Coaching

Have you ever heard of Appreciative Coaching? According to Cappella University's Sara Orem, faculty member in the online learning university’s School of Business and Technology, appreciative learning provides a positive process for change. Orem co-authored a new book called Appreciative Coaching: A Positive Process for Change. Why would you need to know about this?
